The Mawani Waterfront
Sight Pavilion

A shaded waterfront pause point becomes a living observatory. Large screens stream real-time underwater footage and data from Doha Bay, unveiling marine life, reef health, and climate indicators. It invites visitors to look beyond the urban surface and reconnect with the city’s hidden marine ecosystem.
Each pavilion is associated with a specific sense, signaled by a perforated metal panel that carries its symbol. The panel also integrates a QR code, offering access to additional content and deeper insights.

Eye-shaped seating becomes a sculptural metaphor for the sense of sight. Its flowing curves frame the central totem, whose integrated monitors recall the pupil and the act of “seeing beyond.” From here, real-time underwater footage of Doha Bay invites visitors to expand visual awareness into the hidden layers of nature.
